Hello everyone, my name is Lisa I am a southern girl born and raised in East Tennessee. I love discovering new places and things to do. I have a lot of favorites, shopping, traveling, knitting and photography are all at the top of my list. I am married with my fur babies my only children. As I looked through the cavern photos you shared I wondered about scale and thought about Tom Sawyer, and wondered if these caverns inspired Mark Twain. Thank you for sharing! I would love to visit Luray Caverns and spend some time exploring the Shenandoah Valley. I’ve always heard it is beautiful. I have some very old postcards from Luray that my grandpa gave me. He got them during a senior trip he took in high school on the way to Washington… Great pictures, as always!

Oh, and I think Skyline Caverns has some anthodites as well. It’s somewhere in that general area.

Yes I wish we could have visited Skyline. Maybe next time. You would love Luray it is unbelievable.
