What Would You Do If You Won The Lottery?

I have a question for you. What would you do if you won the lottery? And this is also assuming that you took the lesser lump sum of money and now you are rich!!! What would you do first?

Yes I know the general rules of:
See a tax pro
Don’t make sudden Lifestyle changes
Secure an account and a lawyer
Live within a budget
Plan investments wisely

Yes yes yes I know all of that, but what would you do for you? Would you go crazy and go on a shopping spree? buy a new car? a new house? Quit your job?

I think a lot of this depends on your age, your marital status, are you a parent? do you truly love your job? you see where I am going with this. How established are you in life? Here is what I would do if I won the lottery.

I would not quit my job, not right away anyway.

I would pay off any debts that I had.

I would help my family out financially if they needed it.

I would take a trip around the world, well after Corona.

I would invest in the charities that I do now but on a much greater scale. I love donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis. This is a hospital where children are treated and there is never a worry about cost to the parents. I can’t imagine having a sick child and maybe even terminally sick and have to worry about money at the same time. St. Jude’s takes this worry away. Shriner’s Children’s Hospital is another favorite of mine.

I would provide college educations for my nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews so they would never have to worry about the expense.

I would love to hire people who would go to the assisted living center where my mother in law is, and others across the states and have them spend time with the residents, reading or just talking and watching TV with them.

And this last one I might have to persuade my husband to do. I would buy a huge farm and take in dogs and cats that need homes. I would lay right down in the middle of them and make the time they have here on earth as precious as it can be.

Oh and I might buy a new Lamborghini
